about designs by mere
By no means do I call myself a professional graphic designer, but I take pride in my work and I work hard on all things that I create. I've been working with Photoshop for the past 4 years perfecting my skills in photo editing and creating cards and invitations. I don't get paid for my work, and I don't plan on charging for it until I have the experience necessary for establishing a professional online business. Until then, all of my work is created for you out of the kindness of my heart! I create custom holiday cards, birthday invitations, thank you cards, baby shower invitations, birthday invitations, birth announcements...etc. I have examples which can be edited with your own photos/words, or I can custom create your own designs with your own ideas. Thank you for allowing me to create for you, and I'd love to hear your feedback! Your creations are my experience in making my dream come true, and I appreciate that.
rules & regulations
There really aren't that many rules to follow here. It's all pretty self explanatory- And no worries, there's no crazy phrase you need to write in order to show you've read that rules (except that one, which you must write on your 3rd request on the 3rd line of the 2nd paragraph.. K, just kidding.) All I really ask for is respect, I'm a working mother and time is precious so I can't promise that I will make your request that same day. If your request hasn't been made in a week, send me a friendly reminder and I'll let you know what's going on. I get backed up around holiday times so if you have a specific deadline for something, try to request ahead of time. You can only request three times a month. I figure this gives you one holiday card, one invitation, and one thank you card if you wanted too (and it doesn't matter which ones you get, but you can only request three times a month period). If for any reason you need more requests, contact me and I can probably work something out for you. Credit is not super-necessary, but if someone sees my work and they like it, make sure you send them my way. Taking credit for my work = I will NEVER make for you again if I find out! Follow all steps when filling out the request form, and that's all folks.
After your creation is made, you have a few options. You can e-mail it out through your email address or social networking sites such as Myspace or Facebook. Or even posting it on your personal livejournal, or userinfo (in which I request you give me credit somewhere.) I recommend flickr or tinypic to upload photos. If you chose to have your creation printed out, I recommend using FedEx Kinkos or printing on your own using a sturdy cardstock paper and setting your printer to the highest resolution. If printing onto photo paper, I recommend snapfish for the price, but shutterfly for the quality. I've also found that artscow is another great source, with 4x6 prints at only $0.06 a print!
